'Buttons & Roses' Dress - $20.95

This cute Dress features:

  • A light green floral calico dress.
  • A cream collar trimmed with dark green piping.
  • A dark green belt and piping.
  • Five tiny cream buttons and a gold belt buckle.

This dress is modeled after an antique pattern that was published around 1935. It is a good example of what might have been worn by women and girls during the Great Depression.

During the Great Depression, many clothes were made from chicken feed sacks and other household items. The sacks were made out of calico, which was a cheap printed fabric.
