The 'Sweetheart' Outfit - $23.95

This sweet confection includes a Dress and a Pinafore. It features:

• A light pink calico dress with a gathered skirt, puffed sleeves and a 'sweetheart' neckline. It is trimmed with three tiny buttons.
• A ruffled pinafore that is made out of a gingham-like calico. It ties in the back with a large bow.

This dress is similar to what a young girl might have worn during the 1940’s. It is named after a very popular fashion trend during this time. The trend was to have a sometimes low neckline that is shaped like a ‘heart’ with the two humps at the top. This fashion is still used today, usually in formal strapless dresses.
